Frequent Asked Questions

How can I get a library card?

If you currently have a SELCO card from another area library, you may use that card at the library. If you need to open a new account we require a Minnesota Driver’s License or State ID Card.  Cards are free for state residents. Replacement cards are $1.00 each.  There is a $40.00 annual charge for out-of-state users. Youth under the age of 17 must have a parent or guardian with a valid MN ID with them when they register.  Please contact the library for more information.

How long can I check out material?

Most books are 3 weeks except for our new books, which are 2 weeks.

DVDs are 7 days.

Please call the library or renew items online if you need additional time for any items.

How much are fines for late items?

DVDs are $1 a day.

All other materials are 10 cents a day.

Anyone with over $5 in fines must pay at least 50 cents of their fines if they wish to check out materials or use the computer.

The library staff reserves the right to limit checkouts of anyone with outstanding fines.
