Don’t let a little rain and a few gray skies stop you from visiting the library today. We have great books and plenty of DVD’s to choose from. Come on by and pick something up, and say “hi” to Rita and her pal 🙂 We all need a bear hug sometimes!
Stop in today!
Don’t forget to stop in today to pick up a prize bag if you/your child turned in a reading log! They will be ready to go after 1:30 pm. There are also certificates and a small prize for those who turned in registrations. We also have pet rocks who are waiting for their owners, and a couple other art projects that would love to go home! Swing by and pick up your things and don’t forget to check out some books!
Reading Logs are due TODAY!!!!
Rochester Police Dept. K9 Unit Pictures!
What an amazing presentation we had yesterday for our summer reading program! Sergeant Mike Drees, Lieutenant Tom Kaase, and Officer James Bradley all shared with us their time and talents. We were so excited to see how Chase, the police dog helps to keep the officers and us safe. We are so thankful for their service. We are very honored they were willing to come to Spring Valley and spend some time with our youth during the “Paws to Read” program! Enjoy some pictures from the day.

And Chase (the dog) is on with Sergeant Drees!!
This Wednesday, July 23, we welcome Rochester Police Sergeant Mike Drees and his K-9 partner, Chase to the Spring Valley Library! Sgt. Drees and Chase have been named as one of the nation’s top dog and handler duos, and we are so very lucky to have them serve near us. Come and find out more about what Chase does to help keep us safe, and how they work as a team. Kids will have the opportunity to make a pet of their own that day, as well. This pet will be one that can “rock” their world. 🙂
