Free 7-Day MN State Park Pass! Yep, you read that right!
After a competitive application process, the Spring Valley Public Library was selected as one of 67 libraries out of 143 applicants to be part of a new MN State Parks Program! We were selected based on specific criteria that included being located in a county where the median annual household income is less than $58,000, or where more than 40% of residents are enrolled in free and reduced price lunch. We have (1) MN State Park Pass available for “checkout” for a 7 day window. You must be a resident of Fillmore County and you must come to the library to obtain the pass. It is offered on a first come, first serve basis. There will be no pre-holds or reservations. The pass must be displayed in the front windshield of your vehicle with the proper documentation from our library. It expires 7 days from the day you check it out. This is a GREAT way to explore our local State Parks such as Forestville/Mystery Cave and Lake Louise. However, you may use it at ANY MN State Park!
